As of 1970, a Chabad House is active on the entrance floor of the synagogue.
The Chabad House above the Cardo serves as a magnet for many travelers who visit the city, along with A soft spot of th earea’s residents  who attend the classes and the many gatherings.
Throughout the year, the Chabad House runs a wide range of activities: tefillin, mezuzahs, kashrut and more… Alongside holidays and special occasions activities: lighting Chanukah lamps throughout the Old City, Lag B'Omer parade near the Western Wall, reading the Ten Commandments for the children of Israel, Children's conferences on special occasions, conventions and farbrengens and regular activity around the clock.
